Mark Sorensen

Mark Sorensen is a Managing Director and Vice President for Private Alternatives at AB, where he is responsible for capital formation. Previously, Sorensen was responsible for global fundraising and investor relations at AB CarVal. He joined AB CarVal in 2004 as a managing director in corporate securities, responsible for managing short- and long-term investments. Sorensen began his career in credit trading in 1990, and has worked in New York and London for J.P. Morgan, Bear Stearns and Toronto-Dominion Bank. He also served in the US Navy for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. Sorensen holds a BA (honors) in political economy from Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts.
