Lucas Detor

Lucas Detor is a Managing Principal, Senior Vice President and member of the Investment Committee for AB CarVal, where he is responsible for leading the firm’s investment strategy and management. Detor oversees aviation leasing, commercial real estate, European asset-based finance and corporate securities investments for the firm. Before joining AB CarVal in 2013, he was the managing director and co-head of the global distressed and US leveraged loan businesses at Morgan Stanley. Prior to that, Detor served the US government as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, as well as serving in the US Army Reserve and New York Army National Guard. He holds a BS in accounting from the University at Albany and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. Detor is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (inactive).
